The Directors at AV have many years of Project Management experience from careers spent at Nokia, formally the world's number one mobile phone manufacturer, where their experience in Test planning, execution, and certification delivered over 150 million devices into the hands of consumers across the world.

After Nokia left the UK in 2012, they decided to make their acquired knowledge & quality-driven approach available to a wider audience by founding their own company, Absolute Validation. AV has proven its ability to manage Service Contracts & Long Term Testing Projects, and experience of running test campaigns in more than 30 countries over the last decade. Tim Forward

Co-founder & Operations Director

Tim started his career in the Aerospace sector, has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is a qualified Project Manager. Taking that experience into Mobile Telecoms Industry in 1995, by switching to the development of Mobile Networks and Infrastructure projects, and then Mobile Smartphone Project & Test Management since 2004.

Duncan Stewart

Co-founder & Technical Director

Duncan has been in the mobile telecommunications industry since its infancy in the 1980’s gaining huge experience of mobile development with the leading Mobile and Infrastructure manufacturer.

In his spare time Duncan is a keen Marathon runner and has completed full & half marathons across Europe.

Chris O'Connell

Co-founder & Engineering Director

Moved from Electronics into Telecommunications in 1996, joining Nokia Networks & Mobile Phone R&D at the start of the mobile phone revolution, Project Management roles on Nokia’s range of iconic handsets: 3210, 6210, 7110, 8210, 9000 'Communicator', & hugely successful N70 & ‘Nseries’ of handsets. Chris is a keen golfer.

ISTQB CTAL qualified with over 20 years of Test Lead / Co-ordination, Project Management and Technical Account Management Roles.

Specialising in Device SW Testing, On-device Application testing, Project Management & Test Team co-ordination for OEM and Network Operators in the Mobile Communications & Financial Industries.

Femi is a very knowledgeable & successful Technical Project Manager with vast Network and Mobile device experience across 5G NSA & SA, VoIP, VoLTE, VoWiFi projects, and management of Test Teams.
